Lessons are taught Mon-Fri evenings, with morning times available on Tuesdays, Fridays. & Sundays. Availability will be given once we receive your inquiry. 

We recommend that riders be at least 6 years old to take lessons at Great Oaks Equestrian. However, we do start ambitious riders as young as 4. 

All tack & equipment is provided at the time of lesson. Riders should come to their lesson dressed in appropriate attire- long riding pants or leggings (no jeans), a boot with a small heal (sneakers or flat shoes are NOT permitted when riding for safety reasons), and a ASTM approved helmet (bike helmets are NOT permitted). We do have a few helmets for first time riders but properly fitted helmets should be purchased by the 3rd lesson. Riding gloves and half chaps are recommended. 

Our policy is simple- if you miss a lesson with a 24 cancellation notice you will receive a make-up. Make ups are subject to lesson schedule availability. Any lessons canceled by instructors will also be given a make-up. Make-up lessons do not expire as long as you are actively enrolled in a monthly lesson package. No make-ups will be given for individual lessons or those who are not currently enrolled in a monthly lesson package. Lesson package cancellation forfeits all make-ups.
