About Us

Great Oaks Equestrian - Ashley & Mike LeDuc

Great Oaks Equestrian  is a family -owned and operated facility in Casco Twp, Michigan, run by Ashley & Mike LeDuc. Established in 2014, Great Oaks sits on 18 acres, and offers a welcoming and relaxed environment  for lessons and boarding for training clients. The property features an indoor & outdoor arena, 24 well maintained stalls, 8 large paddocks and 6 individual run-outs.

Knowledgeable & Friendly Instructors

Head trainer Ashley LeDuc's passion for horses started at a young age. With over 20 years experience in the hunter jumper industry she focuses on building strong fundamentals through thoughtful horsemanship. Her friendly and helpful approach has created an environment where riders can learn, grow and gain confidence in and out of the saddle.

Our assistant instructors play an essential role in our program. They bring a personalized approach, along with enthusiasm, a passion for proper horsemanship and an emphasis on safety for both horse & rider. All of our trainers participate in regular clinics and showing, continuously developing their own skills on the horse and on the ground.

We host several outside clinicians  throughout the year.  Boarders, leasers and trainers are invited to participate as often as they'd like. We believe that as equestrians, we are always learning and our dressage and hunter/jumper clinics are a great way of doing so.  All great oaks riders are encouraged to join our clinics as an auditor, free of charge. 

THoroughbreds thrive

Another passion of Ashley's is restarting thoroughbreds. Since 2018, over 30 OTTBS have been let down and restarted under Ashley's care and supervision. These athletic horses thrive under the customized nutrition program, extensive rest period and calm & correct restarting Great Oaks is proud to offer. Many of our OTTBs have gone on to make exceptional dressage and hunter/jumper partners.
